Let’s be honest here for a moment: I’ve never really been a big World of Tanks guy. I’ve played a few (painfully short) rounds in tanks that looked more like Volkswagen Beetles with toy treads on them than fully decked out Panzers with seemingly enough power to knock a planet out of the sky. Whether because of a tech-tree and leveling system that never seemed to reward me for simply giving a round my best shot (one that rarely found its mark) or because of a battle system seemingly designed to frustrate me to no end (think snipers in Battlefield: The Game) I came to the conclusion that the World of War games just weren’t for me. It would never be a series that’d kept me in the tent (or the tank, in this case).
Now that I’ve firmly kicked WoT square in the teeth, allow me to shock and amaze you. Are you prepared?
I really like World of Warships. I know, I’m a bit speechless, too. But, honest to goodness, it’s a very fun experience. Now, to be fair, it’s still in beta and a lot of people are still figuring out ships and builds and how to stay alive or play the game. So I’m sure at some point it will turn into a super-brofest, only the best shall pass, multiplayer nightmare like most of the Wo-Games. But for now, at low level at least, I’m finding a lot of pleasure in being on the open ocean, plotting my course, watching my guns turn towards the enemy boat, and blowing it the crap out of the water.

DarkSideRob, as he's commonly known, is an avid gamer who fully admits that he's not very good at them and is actually quite awful at finishing them. Despite this, he continues to play as many games as he can and is determined to have fun doing so for as long as humanly possible.
