In case you haven’t noticed, this game is rife with wolf-human beasties that want to tear the flesh from your bones. Vicar Amelia is one such dog-woman-giant hybrid that is particularly nasty and comes with a bevy of leaping, swiping, biting, and pummeling attacks designed to grind your character into the cobblestone. Unlike previous bosses up to this point, there isn’t really a form change that occurs during this fight. That is to say, she’ll pause at certain points if she takes enough damage and even pop a pretty potent healing chant if push comes to shove. But if you can duck and dodge like a pro, this fight can feel much more intimidating than it actually is. But boy howdy is that scream bloodcurdling.
One thing to mention: the Vicar’s most frustrating ability is her ground blast. It’s one of the few projectile abilities in her kit and if you mistime your dash left or right it will take a massive chunk of health out of your life bar and knock you down for a time. Usually just long enough for a follow up swipe to end the fight before it’s begun. If you find yourself getting caught out by this attack, back away and wait for the Vicar to jump in. Her other attacks are much easier to avoid.
Finally, for your viewing pleasure: Vicar Amelia: close, but not dead until ‘DEAD!’
