Release Date: Persona 5 Trailer – September 15th, 2016 (In Japan)

I’m going to be honest: I have no idea what’s going on in this new trailer for the upcoming Japanese release of Persona 5. Not a single clue. That being said, I’m not sure that any of that matters. Because what is in the trailer looks damn amazing. While I can’t say I’ve ever finished a Persona game (and I’m only talking about 3 and 4 here), I’ve adored what I’ve played of the series thus far. Five seems to continue the trend of off-beat kids caught up in a larger-than-life situation that has something to do with an alternate dimension where they’re all masked capers being led on by the always mysterious old dude with the exceptionally long nose.

And of course there’s a lot of high contrast colors and over the top creatures…as well as a masked cat with a high-pitched voice: because what Persona game wouldn’t be complete without one of those?

While I’m bummed that there’s no North American or English-speaking release date yet, Japanese players and adventurous importers will be able to play Persona 5 on September 15th, 2016 on the PS3 and PS4.

Now until then, could someone please get on an english sub of that trailer? Youtube’s auto-translated subtitles, while hilarious, don’t even come close to getting what people are saying right.
